Inversion Interface with Insignia (Bay Area)

Whether you’re working toward your very first inversion or refining advanced transitions, this all-levels class explores what actually happens to the body when we invert. Open to tops, bottoms, and self-tiers, we’ll cover the physiology and anatomy of inversions, how gravity changes circulation and body awareness, the role of the inner ear in balance and orientation, and why some people feel immediately at home upside down while others need time to adapt.

We’ll also discuss proprioception, common physical and psychological responses to inversion, and practical ways to build confidence before ever leaving the ground. You’ll leave with a toolbox of conditioning exercises, drills, and training methods you can practice outside of rope to improve comfort, control, and confidence during suspension.

The final hour will be an open rope jam where participants can experiment with inversion skills, ask questions, and apply the concepts from class with guidance in a supportive environment.

This class is suitable for all experience levels and self-tying is actively encouraged. No previous inversion experience is required! Just curiosity and a willingness to see the world from a different perspective.

This two-hour workshop is followed by a one-hour open lab/rope jam facilitated by Nia.
