Field Trips: Studio Off-Site Events
We love our Studio!
And sometimes we venture out to teach for or host events with our trusted partners.
Devil Mask Studio partners with Los Angeles trusted venues to host after-dark rope play parties and special events in spaces that allow for things our studio space doesn’t. These are consent-first, sober events, just like everything we host in our own space. Same values; different venue.
All field trip events are held at the fwb Clubhouse in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles, just a few blocks from our home base. fwb LA is a queer & femme-founded community space that we’re thrilled to collaborate with. If it’s your first time attending one of our Field Trip parties, you’ll need to complete a short vetting process – details are on each event listing.

Play Party Details and F.A.Q.
There is!
If you haven’t been to a Devil Mask Studio x fwb party, you’ll have a short phone call with Melissa before the party.
These calls serve several functions:
1. You can ask any questions you have! If you aren’t sure what is (or isn’t) allowed, this call is a great time to talk through it.
2. We outline what to expect – how our parties run and what makes this event different from others at either space.
3. It lets us verify you’re a real person – someone who understands what play parties are about and cares about keeping a consent-forward environment.
Recommended but not required.
We prefer STI test results from within the last 30 days to support informed consent and safer encounters.
Everyone gets a wristband:
Black means you shared negative test results within the last 30 days at check-in;
Clear wristbands for everyone else.
The wristbands are a starting point for negotiation, not the end of the conversation.
Free STI testing is available in Los Angeles County at AHF.

• Optional: show us your STI test results
• Receive your wristband
• Read our party guidelines out loud
• Check your phone, coat, and any bags you don’t need at the front desk*
• Deposit your shoes in the shoe rack
Once you cross the curtained threshold, play can begin!
* You can access your belongings again at any time during the party. Phone use is limited to the check-in area only.
Many types of kink and play are welcome, up to and including intimate encounters.
Absolutely not!
While we’re rope-focused, we celebrate kink and bondage in all their forms. No minimum knowledge or participation in specific acts required.
We got you! We provide machine-washable loaner rope and portable suspension frames.
Everyone over 21 years old! These parties are not for a specific gender, orientation, or other identity group. Solo attendees (including cis-men) are welcome.
We don’t do gendered pricing. The same ticket tiers apply to everyone. Our recommended ticket is $80. We also offer a sliding scale: as low as $60 if $80 is out of reach, or as high as $120 if you can contribute more.
