Studio Membership
Committed to expanding your skillset? Membership offers access to multiple monthly events at a reduced price while supporting the Studio’s mission of expanding access to rope education.
Premium membership is $300 per month (or $3300 per year) and includes:
- priority access to registration for jams, classes, and intensives
- secure locker on site
- unlimited access for two (one tying pair) to all in-house programming, including:
- Studio Series Classes & Why Knot
- Rope Socials
- Open Studios
- Virtual Classes
- A one-hour private lesson per month
Standard membership is $120 per month (or $1312 per year) and includes:
- priority access to registration for jams, classes, and intensives
- secure locker on site
- $200 of credit per month towards any in-house programming, including:
- Studio Series & Why Knot Classes
- Rope Socials
- Open Studios
- Virtual Classes
- Private Lessons or Sessions
Virtual Memberships are offered on a sliding scale of $20-100 per month and include:
- priority access to registration for jams, classes, and intensives
- automatic registration for monthly virtual workshops
- unlimited access to our back-catalog of class recordings
Scholarships are sponsored by the Studio and its members in an effort to create access for all who want to learn. Those awarded a scholarship will receive a free, ongoing Standard Membership with all the benefits included.
Membership FAQ
Can I share a membership with my [partner/roommate/cat]?
Yes! Momence just rolled out shared memberships – get in touch once you’ve registered and we’ll add the second email address.
Does credit roll over?
Yes! Credit for Standard Memberships rolls over up to a $400 cap. We want to offer you the flexibility to make your membership work for your schedule.
NB: you must be an active member to use your membership credit.
Should I wait until the 1st of the month to sign up? How does timing work?
Memberships run on an individual cadence – your benefits renew (and you’ll be charged) on the same date every month.
Joined on March 15th? Your benefits renew on April 15th, then June 15th, then…you get the idea.
How do I use my credit to book private lessons?
You can book directly here or contact us via email.
Can I use my credit for an intensive/visiting instructor?
No – the math doesn’t let us pay our visiting instructors fairly.
That said, your membership does let you register before tickets go on sale to the public. It’s a perk we include to make sure our members don’t miss out.
