Ready to lift off? This immersive, full-day intensive is your launchpad.

Flight School is designed to help you bridge the gap between tying harnesses on the ground and full suspension. If you’ve been working through our Containers series – or building harness skills on your own – this class offers a structured path forward. We’ll guide you through suspension fundamentals like uplines, attachment points, and load management, and help you select, sequence, and troubleshoot harnesses based on your suspension goals.

This isn’t about learning to suspend like us – it’s about developing the judgment and skill to create safe, sustainable scenes that work for your partner’s body.

What We’ll Cover:

  • How to tie and lock off uplines with confidence
  • Choosing and combining harnesses for effective body support
  • Troubleshooting common issues in beginner suspensions
  • Communication strategies and in-the-air body management
  • Core concepts of suspension safety and risk mitigation

You Should Know:
– This class is for tying pairs; we won’t be addressing self-suspension in this workshop
– Loaner straps and carabiners are available, but bring your own if you’ve got it!

This class welcomes all body sizes and orientations! Our goal is to make rope more accessible, sustainable, and empowering for everyone in the scene.

Prerequisites:

Students Tying Should:

  • Have experience tying a range of chest and hip harnesses successfully
  • Be able to tie a secure, non-tightening single-column tie

Students Being Tied Should:

  • Have experience with partial or full suspension
  • Be able to communicate effectively while in the air

You Should Bring:

  • Suspension-worthy rope for your preferred harnesses + at least 4 uplines
  • Carabiners or suspension ring (if you’ve got ’em)
  • A safety tool or strap cutter
  • Openness to adapt, experiment, and problem-solve

This is a Flight-level Studio Series class – expect to be challenged and supported in equal measure. You’ll leave with new tools, clearer strategy, and more confidence in your tying relationship.
