We offer a wide range of classes, covering everything from “what’s the deal with rope?” to advanced technical skills. We believe that rope is for everybody and every body. Wherever you are in your journey, there’s a spot for you here.

Intro Class: Why Knot?

Not sure where to start? Why Knot is a series of classes for the rope-curious (or enthusiastic), no prior knowledge required. Topics include:

  • Bedroom Bondage
  • Blending Rope & Kink
  • Ouch! Being a Jerk on Purpose
Studio Series

The Studio Series is a set of ongoing, open-ended classes focused on personal expression and adaptability with Shibari. We offer three tracks:

  • Ground: foundational skills for any level
  • Containers: harnesses & patterns, both the why and the how
  • Preflight: the vital things to know before you head into the air
  • Flight: techniques for suspension & transitions
STiR: Special Topics in Rope

Special Topics in Rope is a series devoted to all the ‘other stuff’ that impacts our rope practice. Topics include:

  • Demystifying Somatics
  • Consent & Improv
  • Body Manipulation
  • Prehab & Body Care
Bottoms Up

Rope is a team sport! Bottoms Up classes focus on skills & support for folks who are tied. Topics include:

  • Safety & Negotiation
  • Pain Processing
  • Flexibility, Mobility, Stability
  • Collaborative Labbing
Residencies

Residencies bring other perspectives into the studio. We occasionally invite local instructors to teach at the studio on a regular basis – current resident instructors are:
